Event World manages and co-ordinates the marquee village at the Hollywoodbets Durban July. This is hosted at Hollywoodbets Greyville Racecourse on the first Saturday of July. The next event is scheduled to take place on Saturday 5th July 2025. There are various ways you can get involved with this event and please find some more information below. Should you wish to entertain or host more than 100 pax you could take up one of these prestigious and highly desired sites on the infield and golf course area. More information on how these sites work.
These are perfect for smaller groups of 15 – 30 pax and are situated on the grandstand side of the track with amazing views of the horseracing action. More information on how these sites work below.

GENERAL ENTRANCE
Purchase an entrance ticket from Ticketpro and enjoy your day in the main public area situated on the golf course. There you will find various bars, food trucks and activations from the many sponsors.

How it Works - Marquee Sites
All the companies/individuals who had marquee positions this year get first choice to renew or release their site for the following year. This process will begin in November and clients have until the end of December in order to confirm their involvement in next year’s event. We will then release these vacant sites to the waiting list consisting of people like yourself who have shown an interest in having a site at this event. Each site is tailor made to the clients needs and budgets.
All infrastructure is provided by Event World as per your quote: Marquee Fencing Power – including generators Toilets Flooring/carpeting (if required) Air conditioning (if required)
Clients can then provide their own: Catering & Bar Décor Furniture Sound/entertainment
We will assist with all the licenses required (Catering/Liquor/Entertainment) however the costs of these licenses are to be paid directly to the municipality and is not included in your initial quote.
Entrance tickets (R230 incl VAT) are available from Ticketpro. Parking tickets for the golf course can only be purchased through Gold Circle/Event world or Ticketpro along with your entrance tickets. The cost of these is R170 (incl VAT) per vehicle.

All the companies/individuals who had picnic sites this year get first choice to renew or release their site for the following year. This process will begin in January and clients have until the end of January in order to confirm their involvement in next year’s event.
We will then release these vacant sites to the waiting list consisting of people like yourself who have shown an interest in having a site at this event. Each year we are able to assist everyone on the waiting list – so don’t panic!
You can bring in your own food and make the space your own on the day. They range in price from R2000 – R5000 per site and come with basic furniture and a Hollywoodbets umbrella. All beverages must be bought in advance from the beverage provider as NO cooler boxes are permitted on the day. Please be aware that there is no power available on these sites.
